Sorry about the late reply! I was pretty happy with the campees, theres more to choose from today but back then it was pretty much these or those ugly Surly racks that most tourers used. Can’t say I thought much about the weight but with a steel bike, panniers and so on, obv the whole thing’s gonna be pretty heavy. One thing I did like was the ability to take the low riders off for daily use. I used the bike for commuting and such as well and it becomes more of a normal bike without them. Just stick a basket on top of the front rack and day to day use is sorted. Today I have more of a minimalist bikepacking thing going on. I did buy the Oac erlen rack recently though…

Now I wish to say sorry for replying so late! : ) Thank you for your very nice reply - also for the tip on the Oac. I wasn't aware of it until now. Looks like it doesn't hinder the forwards-reverse adjustability of the saddle like my Bagman does...though I couldn't do without the QR. Very nice though!
Hi,
Could I ask if you were, or are still, happy with the Nitto Campees? Did you notice the weight much? Considering buying a front one for myself. Always liked the rear one too.
If you no longer use them, may I ask what you use now?
Lovely photos, by the way!
