To me that says Ujkaj, which is an Albanian surname.
Does that fit the context?
-
• #123203
Google Translate says Ujkaj is Wolf in Albanian

Absolutely spot on thank you. I need to transfer someone some money and was struggling with my banking app verifying details.

TUPE contracts people. Does anyone have any knowledge? The security company I work for has been informed* that there will be nobody paying it for the job we do for "he who cannot sweat". I am not on a TUPE contract but two of my number are and that has always been a bone of contention with the powers that be. We are all on redundancy notice so I was wondering if there is a period of time that could pass between our company and another taking its place where TUPE would no longer apply, like a one or X month's period or something. At present the TUPE two reckon that no matter which company gets the contract they'll be employed.
- The same thing happened last year but the company and we got a stay of execution.

It’s been a while since I worked in HR, so I’m not going to advise, but there are a lot of helpful websites eg Eversheds, TUC, which give lots of info about TUPE, which may be helpful if you haven’t tried them.

Anyone bought property in France post Brexit? Not sure how simple it would be. I assume very much not.

Thanks

As a non french resident?
-
• #123210
I'm in the process of right now but I'm living there full time so maybe not relevent to your situation?
-
• #123211
Yeah, non-resident which is the complicated bit.
Mind if I slip into your DMs?

No worries, slip away.

I just dug some wheels out of storage to sell on here or eBay.
The tyres have some cracking all around.
Obviously if selling them I’ll take photos of it and describe the condition accurately.
But is this even ok for riding?
Should I just bin them (they are barely used so it seems wasteful)?

Sell the wheels with "free used tyres".

The rubber has perished a bit, the casing holds them together so they're not unsafe, could be more puncture prone and susceptible to further damage though. I'd sell the wheels and throw the damaged tyres in the with sale for free if the buyer wants them, but as it's eBay make sure you make it clear that they're bidding on the wheels and the tyres are slightly damaged and included for free, as seen, if wanted.

Anyone can buy property in France, resident or not. Nothing has changed since Brexit. It’s a fairly simple process for the buyer though the paperwork is immense.
Residency is the tricky part.

Thanks, dude. Just sense checking before venturing too far down the rabbit hole. On the face of it, seems very possible. In practice, it looks like loads of pain dans la sac.

We're setting up a little road cycling group at work.
10 years ago I reckon we could have managed a lot of this on Strava. I.e. set up routes in the Strava app and share between us before each ride. But if I am not mistake this has now become a premium feature? What would be the best low effort method to get us synced before each weekend ride? -
• #123220
Komoot.
-
• #123221
Depending on whether your device supports it you can install a komoot app on it and download routes directly to it, which is handy.
-
• #123222
I believe Komoot will let you download a planned route as GPX without having a premium account, so then each person can import that file into whatever tool they use.
I do find this is a bit of a gap in both the Strava and Komoot products, so I end up using both for the rides I run. Strava can do the time and place to meet, all that stuff, but I don't like the route planner. Komoot introduced a 'group ride' feature recently but lacks the date and time aspect, which feels like a massive swing and miss to me. It can update route changes to all who are 'attending' that ride, while riding it, which is cool but personally I would never need it.
There is also Link My Ride, which a mate of mine has been working on. I havent tried it myself yet as it goes, mainly coz its just another app to learn and try to get people to start using.

Mature, distant neighbour sought my assistance with a small radio with a rechargeable battery that no longer recharged.
Found this inside.
Any one know of reputable source?
Is the plug to connect to the socket on the circuit board standard?
