Are you frying them? Never tried that
-
• #10458
yep - though just gently heating them up as opposed to trying to get them crispy or owt

Yawn. Yet another one who may want to consider concept comprehension training. No, anyone who eats whatever bits of corpse isn't entitled to call themselves vegan in any kind of nonsensical mash-up.

It's Tim Dowling - he's not very bright.
-

That may be as it may be (and as ever, when people say stupid things it's generally not because they're 'not very bright' but because they're lazy or don't have time to think), but as you know it's a much more general problem. 'Oh, I'm vegetarian but I eat fish.' etc.

Yeah, I read the article earlier and was also pissed off by it, but they never open the comments on his stuff because he's an idiot so couldn't make that point.

I've got a real hankering for a really good falafel wrap. Where in east London does it the best?
-
• #10464
Oddly, the little caravan outside Canary Wharf station does an excellent falafel in pita.
-
• #10465
Oh really? I'll be passing through there later on so that could work well.
-
• #10466
Go falafel is good in Manchester, they set up some London stores that could also be decent.
-
• #10467
Ah yeah, I've been to the Manchester one a few times but never the London ones. Really good from what I remember!
-
• #10468
The hot sauce is great.

I've not had one in ages, will have to rectify.

Best falafal wrap I have ever had is from 19 Numara Bos Cirrik II on Stoke Newington high street, its an absolute monster. The falafal is some of the best I've ever had, ask for it with grilled onions inside too.

Will check it out next time I'm in the neck of the woods! I ended up at Pilpel by Smithfield Market based on geographic convenience and good Google reviews. Was banging.

Ye definitely not a bad choice!

When I lived there over ten years ago, Damascu Bite was the one. I think I saw it’s still there but don’t know if it’s still any good.

Garbanzos- the hot sauce is great and genuinely very spicy. The round salad box from there was a once a week at least when I worked out there
Now I’m west- Mr falafel in Shepherd’s Bush Market is great. As is delina Ethiopian
