Oh sorry I wasn't clear, when you get an insurance quotes, you are asked for any accidents fault or non fault ( note here you need to confirm your claims or any claim on a policy you are involved with, as someone on this thread found out) and losses which are insurance payout for stolen bikes/vehicle. If you do not claim on the insurance it is not a loss as the insurance company only care about them.
Does that clear up what I meant. Is that cleared up?
Oh you have to report that you no longer have the bike.
My policy states I have to report any change to the facts I gave them when applying for insurance as soon as practicable - I think no longer having possession of the bike meets that standard. Not sure what you mean in the last bit, but the bike being stolen, even though 3p only is still a loss.
The scooter was insured eventually, I just got reamed in the process!!!
