To properly reply then: it's unlikely you could get away with a 27.2mm post in a 27.0 frame if it wasn't intended for 27.2. it would be extremely tight trying to get the post in/might not go in at all.
For the snapping, I'd check the edges of the seat tube aren't sharp/biting into the carbon and that it's not being clamped too tightly. But I'd just use an alloy post probably
