Single sign in at a large place my son is a developer in = get someone in the team to set about sorting g it out
Single sign in where I work but still not sorted (Imprevata I think is called) = a seven figure sum.
Hate to think what a digital id card would cost ….

Which ironically I had multiples of because there was no way to reset a password so whenever you forgot it you had to register again.

From the outside, having gone from Gov Gateway, to briefly being forced to share my information with a commercial third party in the name of "competition", only to return to Gateway a couple of years later, yeah I can't say the idea fills me with joy

Having worked on digital identity in government all I can really say is it's an expensive shitshow. The latest attempt is called OneLogin.
