  • Went and dug out something out, glad this never sold when I was having a fire sale.

  • If your keen on on one of the vintage revival models keep an eye on Goldsmiths sales. Not right now but in their last two sales they had the panda and brown gradient dial at 40% off which is about a 3k discount. It wouldn't surprise me if they pop up again in the next one

  • Happy Friday people 😎

  • Thanks,
Yep there is European warranty card in the box but its blank not stamped or filled in
Out of interest what can cause watch go dramatically slower, I remember reading in this tread
similar problem with Seiko couple of years ago if not mistaken

  • I had a watch that had apparently become magnetised before, which made it run wildly off, think it was fast in that case.

  • Magnetism is one cause but I have been told by more than one industry person that if the watch (the balance spring specifically) is magnetised, the watch will always run faster, not slower.

I had a Seiko with a 6R that ran really well, until it suddenly didn’t. That started running a lot slower, and the watch wasn’t magnetised as far as I could tell - at least, using a degausser made no difference, and being a divers watch it had a degree of magnetic resistance built in. Seiko fixed it under warranty, which I believe for the 6R is simply swapping the whole movement out for a replacement one.

  • Happy Freitag!

  • I’ve got a magnetised (hopefully) Smiths at the moment and it’s literally a couple of hours fast per day. The beat sounds like it’s doing 60000bph, absolutely nuts.

    Untaggable c.h.e - that’s a very cool Sinn! 256? 356? Something like that…

  • Lovely! In much better condition than the ones that usually come up for sale. Out of curiosity, how much were you after?

  • Thanks, and yes, it's a 256.

  • So this happened on holiday.

    Sigh.

  • This is quite terrible. Think I like it even less than those leopard Rolexes for Saudis.

  • Yacht Master 2s must be hard to shift. Bit of marmite on my wrist today also.

  • terrible

    Facts^

  • I can see the sail number embroidered polo already.

    *cough

  • I agree with you all.
Hence not trying to buy for stock.
And he paid £17500 for it two years ago from watchfinder!!

  • No idea if the numbers on the bezel make sense, but they should have put ROLEX on there, just yachtmaster is a bit subtle.

  • I had no idea how the bezel / numbers worked or even what they’re for.

    It’s at least interesting:

    For absolute cunts, but interesting.

  • A recent eBay win - 35mm Eterna with sunken indices
