Shows a Christopher Ward ad with the slogan “Watch Porn”, amongst a 3 page story of a wife who found out her husband liked child porn by answering the door to the police. Unfortunate for The Guardian, don’t really think it’s in the realm of needing to issue an apology. I’d argue the CW ad shouldn’t have been approved to begin with.

First battery change required for one of my 9F Quartz GS. Do Ad's do those or do they send them off to Seiko?

Still so good on the wrist IMO

I used to send mine to Seiko in Maidenhead but now I think, it's just a battery change how hard can it be ... and take it to the place on the high street for a fraction of the price.

Yes indeed! Like that he's a swimmer and has a Planet Ocean though. Not sure if that would be gifted as they're the main sponsor.

So I bought Willer spb237 (boo lume clolour booo ) almost 2 months ago from House of Frasier online on sales, was very pleased, bezel alignment spot on, accuracy -3 spd, good price in current financial climate. After aprox 2 weeks I’ve noticed watch was 5 minutes late out of nowhere, checked, now watch runs -50ish spd. The horror.
The only two weird things I’ve noticed, once after adjusting time pushed crown back in and second hand didn’t move, pulled out and pushed it back again and works fine. Second time after adjusting pushed crown back and second hand went back antilock 4 ticks and then forward, all ok.
Is it because watch lived for 5ish years (recommended time for service) somewhere on shelf?
I don’t want to send it back for refund, I like it and want to keep watch. Bought from HoF means not from authorized dealer, right? Where do I need to go or send it to get fixed? -

You should have a stamped warranty card with the purchase date inside the box.
Even if not, the proof of purchase might be enough - worth an email to service [at] seiko.co.uk and see what they say.

Had some time to kill over lunch so went looking for a sub 38mm modern thing to scratch an itch for an upcoming birthday.. didn’t expect to love this zenith, they didn’t have the full metal variant but would like to try one on…

Picked up one of these from a Swatch shop without any prior plan. Have been sitting on it for a week. It looks great at night, probably more of a winter colourway. I need to change the strap. I like it more than I expected to.

I really like those apart from the fact that they deleted the seconds track so it’s semi-useless as a chronograph. The “Safari” version they did is similar with a green dial and the seconds track restored but also adds the date back in.
The regular ones are near-perfect vintage recreations. Don’t know if they’ve upgraded the clasp on the GF-style ladder bracelet yet but when I checked one out it was a very cheap-feeling stamped affair. Which I suppose is vintage accurate but felt very cheap to me and not what you’d expect for the money.

What's a good way to store 4-6 watches that isn't insanely ugly but isn't some stupid "artisinal watch box with leather inlay" ?

Is that the Shadow version? I like that revival range, although the AD prices are pretty eye-watering. Panda A384 would be my pick (but with a white dial and silver hands, I'm not convinced you'd ever actually be able to tell the time.).

I didn't know there was a no date version of this
I don't get it? Is there a follow up I can't see because I refuse to sign up to Twitter?
