“ The legendary author of gritty gems like Made in Britain (1982) and Elephant (1989) delivered one of the most unclassifiable works in British cinema, described by the BFI as “the first snooker-playing vampire musical in history.” And while nothing can go wrong with such a description, you should know that beyond the film’s freak appeal , Clarke goes one step further by constructing a cult film that also hides a powerful critique of Thatcherism.”

Edna Mitchell, a family friend died last year. Both her and her husband Eric were prolific cyclists and I'm told fairly successful.
Apparently Edna would ride out to races single speed, then flip the wheel to TT fixed.
Anyone able to ID the bike? Those cranks look super slim

That may be an early TA ring with the 6 spokes, which may be on an adapter on cottered steel Stronglight cranks. I can’t really see enough and don’t really know my earlier cranks well enough. Stronglight cranks have a more solid-looking centre to them because of the small bcd though. So that would be against them looking like Stronglight. Gnutti maybe?

In that period, in England, they would almost certainly be Chater Lea cranks.

RIP John Anderson, classic Gladiators referee. Though I'm sure he died a little before watching Clattenburg shitting over his legacy.

Fuck. This is hard to process. He had a unique style of mixing. So incredibly tight and an ability to blend styles and create sets of music that I always aspired to. A master of it. What a loss, and so young. Absolutely devastating.

Randall was one of the hardest hitters back in the early days when hardcore was transitioning into jungle. I remember when that came out and my mate got it up at Blackmarket Records.
