Ha - true, hadn't even noticed that!
Yours, theflatbattery :)

My mum was given a mini-solar panel which supposedly charges the battery via the cigarette lighter socket?
But also has a portable jumper, and it's surprisingly effective for something that isn't bigger than a portable battery pack (I know that is in essence all it is)

Clever, might also be a useful addition!

Has anyone got a BSA bottom bracket thread chasing tool or full on cutting taps?
My flatmates frame has come back from repair and respray and they haven't chased the BB threads.
Would rather try here first before booking the bike into the local shop

Anyone south have a torque wrench (that can hit 50nm) and 8mm hex bit I can borrow to install a pair of cranks in a few weeks time?

Try L' Atelier Du Vélo on top of Lordship Lane, nice crew and they're more than happy for you to use their tools on site.

My weapon of choice https://wheelsmfg.com/presses-tools/bottom-bracket-tools/bb-wrench-48-5mm-44mm.html
I should have got this but wanted to torque it.. probably would have made zero difference.
Either way, have set a rendezvous, so at least it'll get used twice! -

OT but does anyone have a garden shredder in SE? Got a load of smallish branches that are a pain to fit in the brown bin.
I've got most of the obvious bike tools & happy to lend out if anyone needs, in Beckenham.

Dremels are super useful and they're way more capable than their size would suggest. I've somehow ended up with two so you're welcome to borrow/buy one. In SE15.

Hi! Anyone in SE London have a pressfit (24mm) removeal tool I can borrow tomorrow? Thanks
-
• #1768
Would a headset cup remover work for that? Got one if so.

I think I have, but I need to find it first. I'll have a look later, but it might be worth pinging me later if you haven't heard from me. It's this one, yeah?

Yes that is exactly it!
Thank you -

I'm sure I have one but I've looked everywhere I think it would be and can't locate it. I did find the BBT-90-4 tool, so wonder if I've confused myself and have that one instead.

I've used bolt cutters in the past, tidied up with a file. Probably not as easy or neat as a dremel but thought it was worth mentioning in case you have some already. Top tip when trimming stays though, attach a peg to the end that's getting lopped off. They have a habit of going flying and you probably don't want to take one to the eye or spend ages trying to track one down.
Thank you for this example of nominative determinism.
