  • No she wasn't, nor to CP2, which was fairly early on, but she was first to CP3 which was before half way.

    KA was first to CP1 in his three wins and I am pretty sure Josh was in his, and Skinny may well have been in 2019.

    Actually, no - didn't Skinny get to CP1 before Josh in 2015...?

    But it has also been common on other ultras for the winner to take the lead early on. eg on IndyPac, Kristof blasted through the field and hit the front while we were still in Fremantle, I'm pretty sure that Mike took an early lead in his TABR, as did others like Evan Deutsch, Kraig Pauli, etc. What was unusual was when Steffen Streich threw TABR away by riding backwards near the end.

    Maybe the events are getting more competitive as the standard goes up so more chance of the lead changing hands later on...?
