It’s almost like I had a plan!
Still need to lay the slabs properly, but it’s the home stretch.

Got to do a side-by-side before-and-after post once you've got it all wrapped up.

But what if it looked better before?

I can wait no longer, it’s not finished, but it’s useable for now.

Well…
@johnnettles2 got to work off all those carbs, as if! -

Looks like I’ve scavenged enough decking to build the cupboards and a few shelves. Result.

Still trying different layouts, but I think an island and a row of cupboards and a worktop, sink along the back is the way forward. The vaulting horse is now going to be a bench with storage inside it. Need to get my sewing game on.
There was pizza action last night.

I had a spare 1/2 hour today, so the vaulting bench has a removable top, there’ll be a bit of storage for blankets and cushions inside. A few old decking boards and a handful of nails/screws and it’s done. I think a trip to the market for a bit of foam and maybe use some old coffee sacks I have kicking around to finish?

Could it get wet?
Personally I think you're better off sticking with blankets and cushions and then down the line do a proper job with some sort of uv/weatherproof foam and uv/weatherproof cover. You can get nice fake leather boat upholstery. That would fit with the look.

Is that a pe gym horse thing? Where did you buy that???

Good call, what was I even thinking spend money on some foam?¿ the point is not spending any money. We have plenty of blankets and cushions

It certainly is. Yet another skip find. I got that and one of those long benches with the hooks on the ends that clip on to the old style climbing walls. I sold that for £80, but now wish I’d kept it to make the worktop.

Good for painful sit ups when we did “circuit training” at school.

Did a bit more tidying this morning and got the hammock in place as well. It’s really starting to look like something now.

What a spot, looks amazing! Now you need to buy that field so “they” don’t build a housing estate there. Or a golf club

It sold the year before last, but was way too expensive, tbh we were a little worried, but it’s “Grade 2 – very good quality agricultural land”. We were still a bit concerned as there were a few little packets of land sold around us. Luckily Coleman’s (mustard) bought the fields and Lord and Lady Poshtwats from over the road bought back the barns and out buildings next to them that used to be part of ‘their estate’. They promptly knocked them down and dug up the footings so they can’t be built on anytime soon. To go full @Velocio they do have a spot round the back for a helicopter to land (happened twice so far) where an old grain silo used to be.
Living in the land that time forget is not so bad.
Here’s a snap from the wet room.

that looks like a nice field, how much do you want for it? would be shame for something to happen to it.
Thanks Justin, laying the pavers is strangely therapeutic, I bit like the worlds easiest jigsaw puzzle.
