I'm still a bit grumpy about this. Is it having alloys? I swear I never had this problem with the little steels on my MINI or Ka. Yet both punctures on the golf have been absolute cunts to remove.
Luckily the car wasn't too far from home so I went and got a rubber mallet. I feel like I need to get a travel mallet or some bullshit to go with the spare wheel.
Basically not a fun job to do in a black top in full sun.
It doesn't help you now but a smear of copper grease on wherever the alloy touches the hub should help in the future. Edit: I'm not the first to mention it.
