As an anxious parent staying in a hot place without air con, I want to keep my kids cool at night so they don't die.
Basically I want one or two fan(a) that will pack in a suitcase (have decent luggage allowance) in case the main fan isn't sufficient to keep my kids cool. I think it'll be fine, but for an easy life I need to find a secondary solution.
USB or rechargeable would be good so we're not constrained by power points.

Not sure it fully fits the brief but I recently got one of these. It lasts a few hours on max power but you can usb power it, has a belt clip and stand. Pushes a lot more air than a comparable sized traditional fan

How hot is too hot? As an example, the kids in Valencia, Spain often sleep in the (very) high 20s in their apartments and at school and it is considered normal; ours (2.5y) only really struggles if it hits thirty.
Also, instead of lots of fans, just freeze a tupperware filled with water and put it in front of the one fan pointing over the cot/bed. Works surprisingly well and lasts over the hottest part of the night.

This takes me back to our holidays to Menorca when my boys were small. We used to rent an apartment with no air-con but in school summer hols (so roasting hot).
We bought some small fans that had a large spring clip that would attach to the bedside table. They were probably 200-250mm día.
They were mains powered, pretty loud but once the kids were asleep they were asleep!
I still have them and could post at cost if you are interested. I think I have three of them
What's the use case?
