What's the black plastic bit on the extension meant to do?
-
• #929
I'll let you know when I figure it out 😁
-
• #930
It's spring loaded though and holds a bit securely so that it won't pull out. You pull back the black part to release the bit. I'm not sure which scenarios this is useful for however.
Maybe with the sockets as you've also got a hex to square adapter which you don't want to remove each time you swap sockets -

Do these have torque measurement?
-
• #935
Hey, it's all part of the siblinghood of the forum.
I know you'll pay it forward.

Agree entirely.
This tenner means that I don't have to raid the 'work' tool bag for Wera pouches when I just need a couple of hexbits in a ratchet handle to do something on the bike.I keep looking at the bike-adjusted version of your Tool-Check Plus,
and,
normally manage to convince myself 'Maybe next month'. -

Totally, if it only gets light use, that set is great value.
I think I bought my Wera one on offer for £35 which makes it a steal. £63 is too much.
I'm eyeing up their 2-25nm torque set at the moment. £175 is spicy

Yep, £35 is just around the limit of a 'pocket money/don't think twice' spend.
I'll probably be able to curtail my avarice until the Autumn toolshows when the Wera stand normally has a 10% discount.
The cheeky option would be to contact the UK Wera office and claim the holder in the ToolCheck Plus has 'broken',
('dropped' by a child/clumsy inattentive mate etc),
and offer to pay for a replacement.Torque =£++

Torque =£++
Even more so when I already have two Halfords advanced torque wrenches that cover most of that range and a Wera click torque screwdriver for up to 3nm.
But it's shiny and I want just a single tool.
'Maybe next month' :D

Do you think this asshat drives around Aldis scooping up the best bits? No wonder we couldn't find any

• #941
Is that the lidelonline ebay

Think that 1/4 drive set is on sunday and 10 quid torque wrench
-
• #943
Totally this.
I’ve looked at the wera sets so many times, but the price has always stretched beyond a casual purchase, even if it is for use at work. I’ve got a couple bahco mini sets that I’ve picked up which do the job but the wera still appeals. So a £10 mini set like this for at home is a no brainer. -

Probably this bellend https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PVUTDLdfm-M

There's nothing for torque, no
-
• #946
Sadly no more sets here. But picked up a ten piece hex and torx set for £4 each - seem decent enough for home. Have wera for work, but they’re a bit posh for a tiny bit of home use.

Here is the 1/4 kit with the earlier 1/4 kit
Both labelled as same maker whom ever they are but kits are different. Different cases as the current one has a metal clip over the earlier plastic clip and current goes to 14mm socket while the older is 13mm

Was in Lidl Wembley this afternoon: no tools, some clothing, 2 light sets and 2 workstands.
