  • I mean it dicks all over my diy garden tool / akachan hori 😁

    These are very cool tho.

Zero space or need but desperately want this one

    BeyondBougie.com

  • Yeah would buy if wasn’t poor.

  • Not arguing that nice things aren't nice, but ultimately the pic I posted is a bit affected. The real ask of that particular product is a space kids can play in.

Even though we have a nice (Imo) Wendy House, the kids absolutely love it when I put up our aldi popup beach tent on the patio.

Sometimes it's best not to over think things and enjoy what you've got.

  • Yeah exactly

No offence but to anyone thinking about that Koto thing, climb out of your arse and buy this instead for £170

  • My wisteria looks exactly like that

  • Will be sure to update this thread then. Didn't get around to it this weekend - planted some crocosmia out front, tidied in the back and moved some trellising.

    Knackered now.

  • (In my garden at least, hopefully in yours too given that it's wisteria) they only seem to go for plants which have loads more leaves so they don't do any damage. Very considerate.

  • Could be a food thread post as well. The wild bit around my soon-to-be-demolished garage will be missed:

  • Alix hori arrived. Surprisingly quick turnaround.

    https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005007018205521.html?spm=a2g0n.order_detail.order_detail_item.3.32b8f19cnangUY&gatewayAdapt=glo2vnm

99.9% certain it's the same as a deluxe Japeto. Only variations are the weight and the size of some of the rivets. But this has a different handle so that could account for the +8g. Same sharp edge too.

Grab one before they sell out.

Feel like I should buy more, but can't really think why.

  • I was weening myself off aliex and now look what you’ve done.

  • Wow. Always sad to see profiteering.

I’m hoping my Niwaki one is at least made by them!

  • Everyone's got to make a living

Niwaki are importers not manufacturers surely...

  • I would also say that Japeto offer custom lazer engraving, a logo and it comes nicely packaged. Which is good if you wanted a gift.

Whereas the alix packaging is demi pressé :

  • One of my deliveries has been lost by Evri but they keep putting random shit on the tracking to obscure it, so aliex won’t refund. £10.10 of infuriating.

50/50 that the hori’s turn up

  • They're the worst for disputes!

I ordered some magnets to fit in a recess. They delivered the wrong height. The seller's response was the weight of the package weighed the same as the package they sent.

I sent photos with the magnets in calipers showing they were 5mm when they should have been 3mm or whatever it was.

They awarded in favour of the seller. As though I'd concocted some audacious 2-4-1 scheme by buying identical magnets in a different length to get a refund.

  • It’s madness. Last time I tried, I had to involve paypal, who still went in favour of aliex because I never returned the item. They wanted me to pay return postage for an item that was defective. I was asking for a return label because the £5 item would cost £35 to send to China.

  • Thanks ordered one for a total of 5.89€

  • Having a bit of an ideas block so thought I'd ask here for inspo.

My garden has a wedge end to it. As pictured is a slightly mounded bed, that now looks a bit shit.

I used to have an epic rambling rose, so that was the center peice. Then underneath I had flag iris and those giant forgetmenot things that are rough af and good for fertiliser. There was also a seasonal patch.

With the rambling rose only just coming back. I'm thinking I should do more with it. The gravel board at the back is about 2ft from the lawn so intuitively some form of either structured or informal raised bed seems like idea but I'm not sure.

    Other points to note;
    • garden slopes right to left at that end
    • on the far right is a den on the far left is the Wendy House (some sort of children's secret walkway with adult friendly aesthetics?)
    • red arrows = tiny camellias
    • blue arrow = rambling rose (just getting going again)
    • purple arrow = Star Jasmine (struggling but could finally take off)

    Pics or ideas appreciated. Cheers.

  • Has anyone got suggestions of what could be done for my front garden? Bit of a sad desert atm but lacking ideas and ££. It’s clay soil and west facing with the house blocking sun until the afternoon. Where the pots are was a tree/shrub at some point but we don’t want to block light into the front room.
