Slightly ashamed seeing this because I haven't done it yet!
The hedge has settled in really nicely though (March - April - July photos below).

Wonderful things. I kinda wish I had more opportunities to use one, more enjoyable than a lawnmower.

It crossed my mind when I had that deflating feeling of “oh no, now I can’t play with this toy again for another few months”. I thought initially to lend it to locals at the allotments, then I’d just have to use it for them, and they can somehow reimburse me for having fun.

I mean, cloud seeding is a thing.

I should have précised the podcast.
An investigation into the veracity of cloud seeding.
No real evidence thay it works. Main claim to efficacy from US military during Vietnam / Korean wars. Unverified.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but our solar-powered pump arrived yesterday. I’m buying two resin plant pots at the weekend, and I’m going to make a water feature.
Happy to share photos/text, if there’s interest.

Finally built the courage to free the rusted weeding tools off the wheel hoe.
Thursday’s market day and a community gardens stand sell all manner of seedings and plants.
Got some dwarfs and climbers for beans, and set about putting them in a row behind the tomato plants that may or may not do anything.

While procrastinating I searched Ali for a hori hori

Very similar looking to my deluxe Japetohttps://www.japeto.co.uk/products/weeding/hori-hori-knife-deluxe-leather-holster
Decided to pull the trigger on the cheaper, lighter coloured handle and will report back as to whether it's exactly the same. But there aren't loads in stock so if you fancy a gamble for a tenner might be worth grabbing one.
If it is the same I'll be a bit miffed at paying £40 for the Japeto, but I guess everybody's got to make a living. And it means I could try modifying the handle to improve comfort without stressing.

We’re gonna chuck a load of seeds around in autumn, can’t wait for next year. Want some nice tall fennel and a lot more variety in flower colours and shape.

Verbena will do well and look good, I just potted up a few healthy looking specimens that self seeded in a bucket of rubble.

NP. I find mine useful, more comfortable with gloves though.
The trowel looks great. Did you peen(sp?) it yourself?
The california poppies look great in that setting.

I know it’s been asked 100 times, but sheds… semi garden rooms… all the ones I want are 10k plus (ubuild, koto etc), are there any similar for a lot less? I know self build is the real answer but I barely have time to brush my teeth these days so diy is a distance fantasy in the same category as enjoying life.

With no diy or mods?
No.
Sorry. But better for you to get it out of your head, enjoy the sun while it lasts, then revisit the topic in a couple of years time.
I have one of these. It’s a real workhorse
