Nice, mad props for organizing. I worked at PedalMe few years back and this is necessary. I hope they respond positively. Sent support email. Solidarity with all of you ✊🏼

I’m sure the management will support you. Pedalme is one of the more ethical enterprises and have done wonders for the working conditions of its staff and to campaign to make the roads a better place for all delivery riders to operate on.
What’s the management view at present on union recognition? -

What’s the management view at present on union recognition?

Is there reason why this is public? It implies that PedalMe doesn’t want this. Do they not?
I chucked them some quid on one of their crowdfunders, I’d like them to succeed as they have been doing a good job pushing cycle cargo. Just from my perspective

I'm actually a Pedalme investor via crowdcube before I started working here.
It's pretty common for workers to publicise their efforts to unionise the workplace. Our reasoning is that there's no good reason to make it some kind of secret, and that unionised workplaces are good for everyone so we're pleased to publicise it as widely as we can.

how did this end up?
I noticed the CEO Ben has resigned, shame, he was a nice chap and in the early days he would give me a ride all the time and let me know how the company was growing.

What's good. I still see PM riders about.
In their circumstances I don't imagine a union is part of the plan right now but what is the state of Pedal Me?
We've been working on this for a while and went public today.
We're asking for our branch of the Independent Workers of Great Britain to be voluntarily recognised for the purposes of collective bargaining on behalf of couriers at the company.
Find out more and please take a minute to support or efforts by sending the management an email https://actionnetwork.org/letters/a-unionised-pedal-me-is-better-for-all
