Ha, yeah I got told off for selling my 1200s a few years back. I recently had a huge wave of regret about it and bought another pair, fully endorsed by my wife with accompanying 'told you so'.
Also recently had a 'should I spend £100 on a record' debate where I was the one on the 'no it's too much' side of the fence.Feeder/enabler vibes.

Haha, we're obvs both very lucky guys. I was looking at electric twelve strings last year, found a really nice Rickenbacker that was ~A$3k, showed it to her and she insisted I buy it! I told her she was crazy and bought a Danelectro for A$600 instead.

I doubt it would fetch enough to cover the sentimental value, so here it will remain.

My back won't let me ride fixed anymore
You could just push it around.

My Donohue is in the same boat. It's in bits and I don't have any intention of building it again (too small, only takes up to a deeply unfashionable 25c) but I've got so many good memories of riding it and it's absolutely battered from being used as my work bike for a while so it's worth fuck all anyway.

I’m not great at building stuff or doing DIY
I do it, it’s ok but I don’t get inspired by projects to improve my house etc.But if something breaks, I will try to fix it.
At the weekend I was at my mother in-laws
She has an ancient Brother industrial sewing machine. I have known her for nearly 30 years and it’s never worked. It’s just a giant 100kg clothes rack. She was saying that she’s bored and wants to sew again. So with a crappy corner shop screwdriver I got to it.
Nothing crazy I just took it apart, unraveled miles of thread cleaned the moving parts, fitted a belt and then reassembled it.
Somehow there were cosmetics from the 80s jammed inside it as well as a dried chilli from at least a decade ago.
It’s running like a beast nowSee some of the junk extracted

Fucking France man.
“After the National Rally did well in the first round last week, left or centrist candidates in many places withdrew from the race - a tactical move to allow anti-RN votes to be concentrated on one contender.”Turned that fuck around quick sharp. Genuinely fills my heart reyt up!

Fucking lol. Just a few mechanical challenges for the machine to overcome. Love these kind of repairs!

Yeah, that back wall is cladding on the paling fence, painted it the same colour as the walls in the kitchen / living area. Been thinking something on the concrete would be nice, some slate maybe?

When you're on holiday, the kids have fallen asleep early after a full day of activity and you can sit and have a beer in the sunshine.
