  • Abdullah has done about 130km more than Robin, with a higher average and seven hours less stopped time.

    How you can do 2,400km on 12 hours' rest is just beyond me.

    He seems to try to avoid hills, whereas Robin doesn't seem to worry about them.

  • Abdullah one of the most interesting racers. Was a fairly heavy weightlifter, in a couple of years started distance cycling from scratch (being inspired from Mike Hall) and won IPWR, then TABR, now he's on most miles in TCR and ahead of Strasser.

  • Yes, he's the time triallist (he has had a crack at Strasser's 24 hour record although didn't get very close) so will be seeking out the Hippy-friendly routes!

    I'm really pleased to see him doing so well. I had worried he works come unstuck in the TCR as so much hillier than what he's done before

  • I know, I really enjoyed following his TABR. It seems so long ago now ...
