I got a targeted ad for just such a thing on instagram this morning (a specialist caster store!); if it comes back I'll forward it on.

Fuck me, the algorithm could predict you were going to be asked about casters today!

Cheers for the portable chair suggestions all. Quite tempted by the knock-off heliox ones for the small size but have never tried one so not sure how the comfort is compared to your bog standard fold-up garden chair?
Kermit chair looks good but way out of budget.

Nah it's BMX to regular MTB rather than OS

knock-off heliox
Comfy, heliox are lighter and probably better made, soft ground can be a problem but easy to fix.

Cheers all - Screwfix works. It's for work so if they already have the supplier set up it's easier.

These actually look pretty nice for non-work stuff... Will PM

I think you’re right with it needing the battery disconnecting and then connecting again. I’m going to do that certainly before I go on holiday for two weeks and leave the car. I’m not sure if the beeping is enough to drain the battery on its own, but I cba to find out the hard way :-D

Good luck with it. I feel your annoyance and I want it solved for you!

Hive mind. Mrs EB and I don't have a TV and just use an Acer Chromebook which is now no longer getting updates and Netflix no longer works because the browser is out of date.
We're toying with the idea of getting an Ipad Pro 12.9 inch (the Acer screen is 14) to replace it with. Anyone using one to watch TV/Films? Would a laptop be better? Cheers!

• #123041
I wonder if you could just get a second screen type device and then drive it from a phone?
Edit: something like this, but check compatibility

How do you mean, like a portable monitor?

• #123043
Yes, see edit

An iPad would be better than a laptop if you're mostly watching TV on it
second screen maybe, if you wanted the normal iPad instead of pro and slightly bigger screen. The LG Gram (16MR70) looks quite nice

The latest iPad pro is overkill for TV but the screen on them is very very good.

Leftfield option but what about one of these

What do you when you see a massive fucking rat in your garden that contrary to what I'd been told does not give a fuck about me shouting at it or that our garden is a cat thoroughfare?
Just kept drinking some rainwater then ambled slowly under the shed. I had a look at some bait boxes and this thing wouldnt even get his shoulders in, I thought it was rabbit or something from a distance 😭

• #123048
Leave it alone as it's not really doing any harm?

Give it a name. Setup a wildlife camera and see if I can get some pics.

I bought some from B&Q when I built our garden table. Depends how heavy duty they need to be.
