This is kind of what VSSL used to do before they realised coffee grinders are more profitable. I think it would just be so unnecessarily heavy. You can get much better optics in a smaller package now and then all the rest can go in a nice light dyneema pouch or something rather than a honking great offensive weapon.

Thought this might be a place to ask.
Has anyone ever seen a mod to a large multi C/D maglite where they take it down to one more modern cell like a single 18650 and use the rest of the space for survival stuff. A bit like the unscrew handle of a Rambo knife
I can't believe I'm the first to think of this.
