Distinction is that a type of shoe is required in order to compete in the sport (at a high enough level).
Bare feet count.
And don't worry @snottyotter, dress code for shoes in snooker is a requirement at EPSB amateur level and above.

What about skateboarding and BMX? Sure there are skate shoes but they probably wear them all the time so don't change and they also won't be mandatory

From prior chat didn’t the need to have judges score both of them remove them from the LFGSS olympics already?

Her surname is meaningless. She doesn’t even have two gardens.

Pretty sure it’s because she sounds like an aristocrat, and no one is surprised by an obnoxious rich dickhead being into a light spot of animal cruelty?
It’s a needless prejudice to assume that because of a characteristic beyond a persons control that they will be a certain way. Their name is something they were given/inherited and like race or gender does not determine how someone will behave.
These kinds of conscious or unconsciousness biases say more about the person who holds them than the person they are pre judging. The generalisations from some posh people are cunts to all posh people are cunts doesn’t hold up.
I remember when people often assumed a double barrelled name was a posh indicator though these days it can also be something used to disrupt the patriarchal notion of a wife taking their husbands name.

Are bare feet a type of shoe?

But is she from a garden?

Right so no judges and a mandatory change of shoes. Got it.

We spent a whole term in my philosophy class at Poly discussing this, the conclusion was that sport is an open ended concept. It’s always a fun conversation though.

Demlin? French immigrants who stayed pleb. De Moleyns? Posh.
Whither Tommy Windmills?

All this chat about people with French names being posh horse-abusing cunts. It's only just clicked that I'm one of them.
Maybe I should consider Anglicising it.

they probably wear them all the time
Velosambas have ruined our chances of ever seeing fixed gear bikes in the olympics. Track cycling will have to be cancelled.

Alternatively, you could just stop abusing horses. :)

They whip cows to make bacon probably, what's so special about horses? Horses are shit.
-
• #88670
give police horses whips I say.
-
• #88671
I hope Richard Tice gets kicked in the head by a police horse. That would be very reassuring.

Much rep

I'll tell you what's reassuring. How thick 4/5 of Reform UK appears to be.

Driver in a race convicted of murder:
In February 2022, the convicted persons engaged in an illegal car race
in Barsinghausen in the Hanover area - they raced alongside each other
at speeds of up to 180 kilometers per hour. The speed limit was 70. In
a bend, the woman lost control of her car and there was a head-on
collision with oncoming cars.»My children are not coming back« A family's car was thrown into a
field, and the two and six-year-old boys in the back seat, who were
wearing seat belts, died. The parents and the driver of another car
were seriously injured. Photos show the family's completely destroyed
car. -

My conclusion thus far to distinguish between a sport and a game is that a sport hinges on the physical abilities of the participants, whereas the physical actor in a game is irrelevant as long as the decisions are made by the same person.
