Hi Dave,
It’s actually myself that has acquired it.
Here’s the underside of the BB. Interested to know what year you built it.
Kind regards, Ed

Hi @DaveYates, I sent you a DM a few weeks ago about another frame I think might be one you built (we originally spoke a couple of years ago where you confirmed a different frame was one of yours) be great if you could have a look when you get a chance please.🙏 ✌️

That's pretty sweet.
Looks like maybe your left hood isn't seated properly?

Just wanna check.
Any other 'prestigious' frame builders chiming in on here. 👌

a late dura ace or early oughts da groupset should be acheivable, they pop up every now and again.
lovely frame in any case ! -

Thats definitely one of ours, invoiced 26 01 90 as one of the team frames for the Eveready team.

That’s magic thanks Dave.
I’m very grateful for you taking the time to check for me.
I’ll send you a private message about decals.

Blimey absolute bargain, I presume potential bidders incorrectly assumed the serial number (as I did) didn’t match the sellers description.
@DaveYates below is the serial number of my condor frame, hoping you can check to see if it’s one of yours when you get a chance please.

Yes, definitely one of ours. Frame no 65 in 1994. The centre punch mark below the 4 indicates that it was finished by Chris.

Brilliant thanks for the info!

Was this not in this thread recently?

The colnago thread 😉

Yeah, few pages back: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/17440701/
It was on sale here too. One of those classifieds I was watching to see what happens 👀
-
• #5315
Yeah, it’s still for sale but I’ve taken it down from here due to lack of interest etc and put on the dreaded scumtree/fleabays.

Great bike and I thought a fair price. Bikes don’t seem to be fetching what they’re worth at the moment.
-
• #5317
Thank you. In the flesh it’s lovely. It’s so light also 🤓
The market does seem a bit stagnant atm, perhaps something to do with the cost of living. My friend has been sitting on this for ages trying to sell it also

Great price and lovely bike.

I’m sure cost of living is a factor, but so much money is still being spent on bikes. I think it is that the advertising power of big companies is currently beating the raw sex appeal of mgoof and vintage bikes more generally.
Totally mad in my opinion. Like in what world would you rather own a shit new cannondale with sora and cable operated disc brakes than that colnago. Probably the same price, but the ‘dale looks a bit like that 10 grand bike an influencer you follow rides.

This was in a local(ish) bike shop I walked past today, apologies for shite pic but it was a lovely looking bike.

And another mgoof below it! Odd to see in a shop.
That C40 is the duck's guts. Surprised no takers.

If I had the need/desire for a +1 and it was a little bit longer in the top tube I would be splashing the cash but I don’t get to ride the bikes I already have as it is.
-
• #5324
Sorry dude, that wasn’t directed at you. Just people in general seem to be moving towards new bikes that they see on instagram. Owned by people that wear neutral coloured PNS kit and huge sunglasses.
Your bike is absolutely beautiful and a total bargain.

That’s made me chuckle 🤭
Thank you kindly 😊
Hi Lampman
Looks like one of mine, if you can post a pic of the number on the bb I can confirm and give you a date of origin. I can supply decals if you want.
