Pity the poor breakdancers - they've not even started and you want to kick them out...

Just move it onto measured things. Like a kind of vault x long/high jump combo. Or swing round the bars with a high jump bar to get over on release. Arab springs (or whatever they are called) race over 1000m on the track. No pissing about with ribbons though.

We have this discussion every year. Fuck them for removing things like IP and Kilo and leaving shit like horse whipping and ribbon fucking.

I reluctantly took my daughter to a horse riding taster at Lea Valley riding centre a couple of years ago (I hate the entire concept but she’d been bugging me for ages).
Half way into the session the horse she’s on stops moving, so the dude in charge comes over and PUNCHES the poor fucker IN THE THROAT repeatedly, in full view of all the parents watching. Nobody seemed to bat an eyelid, and luckily my daughter didn’t notice, but I quickly took her out of there, never to return. Raising my concerns to the staff fell on deaf ears.
If they do this shit to the animals in front of potential customers, imagine what they’re dishing out behind closed doors…
Fuck animal sports into the annals of history.

Snakes and Ladders or Hungry, Hungry Hippos for 2028 (or a return of chess)

Gymnastics based upon Faster, Higher, Stronger is fine,
and,
I would acknowledge the strength, balance and mental fortitude needed.
Forcing pre-pubescent young women to compete not so much. -

Bring back town planning, or trench digging.

ribbon fucking.

Come now - they're post-pubescent, but their training regime has messed their hormones up completely.

Dujardin's statement "this video is four years old"
Dutch equine lawyer "it was filmed 2 1/2 years ago"oops
-
• #88589
So is that by implication an admission that she'd been beating horses for at least 18 months?
-
• #88590
(I mean clearly it was a lie, but then when she almost inevitably doubles down...)

Call me prejudiced, but you only have to look at her name…
What is the issue with her name? Is it that it appears to be foreign, and French people eat horse?
You possibly need to get a grip of yourself if you prejudge someone because of their name.
What she has done is abhorrent but try not to bring casual racism into this.

Totally wrong end of the stick, James.
But thanks for calling me [casually] racist in front of everyone on the internet.

Lawyer was interviewed on Sky News and as well as being a horse law expert* he also trains/competes/judges dressage himself.
Video was from a session where she was supposed to be teaching someone how train a horse and he was saying she may be the best rider in the world but she appears to be the worst horse trainer because that's not how you can ever make the horsey do the dancey.
*this is a thing

Is it because Dujardin looks like dungeon?
-
• #88595
casually
If it was formal people might assume you're a posho who beats horses.
-
• #88596
Which end? The handle or the shaft of the whip?
So what didn’t you like about her name?
-
• #88598
Let’s just say if you showed me a photo of her in that ridiculous outfit, on top of a horse making it dance, and you asked me to guess which is her name: Charlotte Dujardin; or Janet Smith, I’d probably guess correctly.
That makes me prejudiced, but don’t hate me for punching up towards the aristocracy.
And don’t call me racist.

Is she actually posh?
Gymnastics?
