Dremel the sides in and then make sure it’s nice and smooth. Make sure it’s a nice gentle curve and go slow to avoid fractures or overly stressing the mudguard. I’ve had to do it on some sks guards. to clear a front derailleur, still holding up well.

Not stupid at all, on my Brother I had SKS Bluemels with shallow groove taken out using a half-round file.

Any advice for fitting wider fenders than really can fit in the seatstays? Is cutting them where they pass through a stupid idea?
