A home run in the eyes of Pentax?
They created a camera that will be well received amongst IG crowd/blogosphere and create desirability whilst not spending much to develop it. I’m sure their profit margin on each camera is considerably higher than on a digital equivalent.
It’s interesting they opted for half frame as viewfinder will be vertical a la IG/TikTok and the economy of 48/72 shots per roll offsets some of the high cost of film.
I wouldn’t buy it but I like that it’s a curve ball from otherwise dull and repetitive camera manufacturers
..did any of you get a Pentax 17?
Saw a couple of reviews / image sets by now, and gotta say I'm really impressed - haf frame it might be, but that lens is super sharp, and most pics I've seen look really really nice 👍
