One of the frontrunners is 22 year old Victor Bosoni (232). He "won" NC4k last year but got DQed because not sticking to mandatory resting periods. Curious to see how long he will last because he started hard.

Abdullah retiring after TCR? :(
“It feels full circle in a lot of ways,” said Abdullah. “I feel grateful just to be here, it feels like I’m finishing off something I started quite a while ago, as in from when I started ultra cycling to now, and how I feel like it’s finishing.’

Robin with an early gap from the other hitters.

303 mixed pair gone? Sarah Ruggins still riding but her partner marked DNF. They took a hippy approved route early on.

Finding it hard to read this and to look at the tracker without getting all FOMO

I just did a google streetview tour of Parcours 1 and now I want to quit my job and immediately head out to the mountains on my bike

It looks fantastic doesn't it.

ouch...did it now...amazing...

Same, though I've now discovered that having broken bones helps quite a bit with the FOMO.

I have this thought about a dozen times a day, perhaps more and it doesn't require a TCR to be on. :)

lol yeah, the "I want to quit my job" bit is a permanent state of being...

It says "AVG Moving Speed: 30.28 KM/H" at the now #1 Robin Gemperle, thats insane!!
-
• #42
For Victor it's even insaner. (if correct)
AVG Moving Speed: 32.20 KM/H

Robin looks like he has a point to prove this year. Nice handful of very strong riders up front. Omar is still doing well since he crashed early. Maybe Victor will be the 'surprise' he is almost half Strasser's age if Strasser is human. I'm cheering for Abdullah, guess he might struggle with the navigation aspect that could be new to him.

Didn't Robin fade towards the end last year though? It's hard to tell these days what is "too much" and what is a race winning move. Riders are so much faster but there's still a bunch of them that throw it at the wall and see if it sticks and if they blow up and roll home DNF they don't care.

I think he was slower overall and always behind CS:

Robin deserves to do well. He turned up to registration last year in a velvet suit with everyone else in Lycra.

Was supposed to be riding this but Epstein-Barr virus has to put an end to anything serious for the foreseeable future...
Had LeShuttle booked already and couldn't cancel it so my partner and I headed over to Roubaix as volunteers which was great.
I did the bike checks. I reckon Robin seemed the most serious out of everyone, seemed quite in the zone. Think he had my second favourite bike out of everyone. Amazing hair!

Victor Bosoni turning back, looking like a scratch. Read about the kid's story and was really rooting for him. Such a shame.
So hyped to watch this unfold.
