I remember a documentary on her back in the day when they are speaking to her dad whilst in front of one of her WC jerseys and asking him how proud he must feel to have a daughter who has achieved this. He says words to the effect of it's not the same as having one of your own... He came across as a complete twat.
One thing my dad advised me was to never make your hobby your job, which is the soundest thing he ever said to me.
