Pretty sure my local bike shop would have done this. I recall having issues getting it to seat.

I have, was a bit annoyed to find out when fitting them.

Made a gap, poured some sealant in
Where did you make the gap? I can't picture this. Never seen a tubeless tyre.
-

With tire levers as you would if changing a tube. Once I discovered no tube I poured in some sealant and pumped it up quick sharp.

I've found the RT-66 rotors to be the quietest, along with Shimano organic pads, though they aren't super durable. I've also got on well with Shimano's sintered pads, they last longer and aren't particularly noisy IME.

sportsshoes.com
Not sure of the ethics etc, but they always have a huge range of running shoes and always something suitable at a reasonable price.

I’m just super surprised that the valve is airtight where it enters the rim.

surprised that the valve is airtight where it enters the rim
Many a ghetto tubeless set up has run with valves cut from inner tubes

Bought many trainers, football boots and shell suits from their original shop in Bradford as a kid. My dad knew the owner (former Bradford City and dirty Leeds player Bruce Bannister) and would always get a discount if he was around.
Seems to now be run by Bannister's son. Ethics bonus for for no apparent association with Mike Ashley.

Haha, I'll agree with that. Evans cycles was never a go to for me, but having seen what he's done to the store is brutal.

Something else I’ve learned!

Steerer - 28.6
Handlebar clamp is traditionally 22.2 but I've seen blb stems with 25.4 and I bought a (Box components) racing bmx bar not that long ago with a 31.8 clamping area.Normal bmx stem from a bmx company will most likely be 22.2

Which tubs for TT? Pirelli P Zero TT or Specialized S-Works Turbo Time Trial?
Both £30 on Merlin, realised that both need replacing on the bike.

• #122941
I have some barely used Conti TT/Supersonic if you want?
Oh, tubs 🤦♂️ nvm

I have an workmate 2, a big job, and bought one of the steel smaller original ones. The jaws on that aren't perfect so I bought another workmate to use the wood from that. I now have five workmates. They're like bikes, I'm not proud.

Also, how hard is removing old tubs and mounting new ones? Should I use glue or tape?
-
• #122944
Big questions. Essay-length replies needed! So you've bought s/h tub wheels? What do you know about how the old tyres were mounted?
-
• #122945
Easy, tape.
-
• #122946
But he's a mad TTist. Don't tell him tape has a RR penalty. It will eat away at his tolerance for lonely, pointless suffering.

Which 1x chainring bolts have a hex (or torx) socket on the front and back parts of the bolt?
So far Wolf Tooth look like the best (albeit spendy) option.

My SRAM Omniums had this. I've no idea if that carries over to other SRAM products but might be worth checking?

Do olympians have to pay import vat and duty on medals won?
-

No.
And we pay for their training, clothing and their two week jolly. In many cases we have 'expedited' their sudden Britishness, it's rather a shame that all refugees aren't gifted athletes.
Freeloading bastards, the lot of them.
I’m astonished. Every day is a school day!
