Why isn't he stepping down now and letting Kamala run from the position of president?
Because that gives the Reps the gift of admitting that he's been in the WH running the country while completely mentally incompetent. As it is, he can push the narrative that he's adequately competent now, but doesn't think he's up to another 4 years.
