• If it was installed correctly then the olive would be permanently attached to the hose afaik. I've never been able to remove a crushed olive from a previously installed hose before.

  • The compression nut defo wasnt screwed as far into the lever as the other side or as it is now. The olive looked untouched when I fished it out the lever. Dunno how I cocked that up so badly or how I managed to get a couple rides in on it like that.

    It was the trails where I did my collarbone last year too so I’m glad it happened in the carpark!

  • Did you use a torque wrench to tighten them up or are you one of those “self calibrating, I don’t need a torque wrench” mechanics?
