• If you have the cash do it. But check it can keep it's historic status due to all the mods.

Check that the shell had all the rusty metal cut out and replaced. Then sealed.

Finally is it insurable with all those mods with out an engineers report or sva. How do you get an agreed valuation with so many mods?

DM me a number and I can talk you through stuff.

  • Thanks dude. Seems to have been built by someone who knows what’s what. I just don’t know with so much of
It being custom from other bits. Seller told me it’s a classic with a “modern engine” from a fuego?! If I didn’t live in London and it had to live on the road in E17 I might be tempted

  • If I had a fuego engine I would want it in a fuego. Now those are beauties

  • I doubt any experts work on body work. Want proof as seen too many shit jobs by experts on fiats and lancias.

DVLA are being utter cunts at the mo clamping down on restomods. Currently having issues with DVLA on a project involving increasing an engines cc on the original engine block and going to electronic fuel injection and ignition. As well as transaxle mods to reduce transaxle losses. The parts ate original and just modded.

  • Modern and fuego.

12 came with a few cc engines how different is the 1.4 or 1.6 engine fitted to the 12 than to the fuego.

My Spanish alpins had the engine from a Renault 14 that had been gordini'd but the engine had been sold on and ended up with a Renault 5 1.4 that I fitted as Renault engines of that time were similar blocks so no engine brackets needed to be made up.
