• Why does anyone bother with a fast car? Even before the advent of speed limiters you couldn't do much with them. Better to have a convertible with a modest engine. Relax under the sky. Stop trying to compete on public roads.

  • No competing here. I have one because I can. I enjoy using it in the same way I enjoy blasting down a trail or road on my bike. It's just a personal choice. Believe me when I say that a fast car is still fun within the speed limits.
Convertibles are wasted on my as I'm bald.

  • Define a fast car? Is it the feeling of speed or actual speed? Is it straight line speed or real roads?

  • Because they are fun.

In my Aston I could and did drive from Belgium to Austria in one stretch, in a trip where I legally travelled at more than 160mph for many miles, and was still getting overtaken.
