Oh, I get that, it's not my first rodeo haha. I rode out to Essex to catch approximately three seconds of the Tour of Britain last year.
I'm more talking about being able to see anything. There's a difference between standing at the side of the road soaking up the atmosphere and being at the back of a massive crowd. It's why I'm pondering where it's likely to be a bit thinner.
If you're watching a race in person, then you need to accept that you'll not see every move that impacts the result, and just enjoy the spectacle and the atmosphere. You can always watch the tv coverage later to understand how the race unfolded.
