  • I'm not claiming NSPCC (or whoever it was) are doing everything right. But having grown up in less than ideal circumstances myself, my sympathy is never on the parents' side in such cases. Unless there is some very clear evidence to the contrary I'd say fuck the mobs trying to prevent the civil servants doing their jobs.

    Nothing says ‘reasonable, healthy parenting’ like encouraging a mob to attack the police and set public property on fire.

    The NSPCC doesn't take children into care, it'll be social services.

    You have to admit though, that's a really impressive degree of solidarity on display. More of that in particular would be grand.
