Do you actually need to travel? Pre-covid I would be travelling worldwide maybe 30% of the year. During COVID we discovered we could do a lot of that remotely and although it was slightly less efficient there was a saving on travel expenses to offset against that. As a result I've barely travelled since.

I'm increasingly having to travel for work, which involves a lot of flights. I've pushed for train travel for European options but it's refused as typically significantly more expensive.
Other than changing my job, which feels counter intuitive as some other poor sod would have to schlep across the globe instead, are there any effective things people do in similar situations to reduce their climate impact?
Emissions through travel are already included in the businesses net zero plan, but I've not huge faith in it and would rather try to take control myself where I can.
