I say that because it's an internet meme (Dutch is not a real/serious language). I think many of the "not serious" examples are a result of English being a mongrel language coded for class, and taking all the Latin out of it leaves Germanic alternatives which are considered infantile, lower class or intellectually inferior in England.

It’s a bit unnerving that Paddington Bear is the English grim reaper of choice. He’s a children’s book character, so kids are basically reading about Death’s adventures in the mortal realm.
On the flip side, I can see why, with his gentle demeanour and supply of sandwiches, he would be a comforting known person to lead you to the pearly gates.
