Picked up a SOG PowerPint from alix for £26. The idea is to pair it with some common bits in a holder and keep it in the car as its real party trick is taking bits in its jaws.
Which let's be honest is very useful.
Got to say I'm really impressed. I haven't used the Gerber mini multi tools but this feels great. The piliars are absolutely on par with Leatherman, if not better. The 3 cons (potentially):
All the tools lock (I can see this getting old quickly if you pull another tool that unlocks it, so you don't need to use the release spring on the inside)
The removable clip doesn't feel comfortable in-hand
The jaws stay open when open so you can't extend the tool like you can with Leathermans.
All quite stiff.
Lacks that really nice hand-feel sak and leathermans seem to have mastered.
Overall though, if you wanted a small multi tool for say travelling or touring then I'd throughly recommend this. And in case you're wondering, no the scissors aren't anywhere near Victorianox's. But then what are.
