  • Disc brakes are dead…..

  • ...dead excited about going to Itchy and Scratchy land?

  • why doesn’t it get any love?

It's basically a caad10/12 but with less fancy aluminium and the stock builds aren't very fancy but otherwise I think they're very decent

  • Basically a more modern CAAD 8. There's no such thing as a bad alloy Cannondale frame IMO, they do know their stuff.

As you say, cheaper aluminium used but likely the Optimo is more robust than a CAAD12 with it's famously fragile toptube.

  • Well whatever it is I really like it. And it has done more to rekindle my love for riding even than the Cervelo S1 that it replaces.
It was an on a whim purchase but couldn’t be happier particularly as it was so cheap and is practically new .

  • Here are some of its predecessors..

  • Here's the prototype of the hanger I was talking about earlier. Some minor adjustments left

Probably selling it for 40 to 50€ with screws. Nothing goes to me only for the guy who's making them

The mechanical version is coming next week. Actually looking for someone to test the prototype

  • I'd definitely buy a hanger off you!

  • German eBay Kleinanzeigen has a few (at least last week in 52-54) full built and frame only.

  • nice work dude. if I ever need one I would look here first for sure

  • eBay in a nutshell:

condition is reasonable for its age

making it both stylish and safe on the road

Note: not the seller mention above - just a couple of other jokers.

    FFS.

  • I need a CAAD10 complete headset - does anyone have any recommendations on where to get one from and which FSA one would fit instead of Cannondale? Thanks.

  • Cane creek IS 41.8/42mm top, 47mm lower

  • Not a 54 but I’m about to post my 56 for sale

  • Thanks. Any links you can share? Their product range looks so wide when you start searching.

  • Thinking of doing some cycling round France next spring with a couple mates who also ride road / cx bikes and wanting to take my cad 3 which currently looks as so on carbon rims, do you think if I try squeeze some gravel tyres on it will be fine? going to get some big bags probably but not looking to spend an arm & a leg

  • Out with the old red 2014 Supersix (I still have it, can't bear to part with it), in with new 2023 Supersix.

    Yes, I like Supersixes.

For the record, I think the old fella looks better, but the new guy rides better.

  • I think you know best how much tyre clearance you've got on there. Dunno what you mean with gravel tyres but I don't think you can go wider than 28c

  • Very nice. I agree the red looks much cooler.
Obligatory EF pro cycling bottle in cage. ( I’ve just bought one for when riding my optimo and a matching Rapha cap…..)

  • If you stick to the road and don't carry to much weight a pair of 28c tyres should prove to be adequate to the task.

  • Anyone here got any experience with the below model of six13? Got one off ebay and am planning a bit of a mgoof build. The bike is a couple of weeks away but I'm trying to get ahead with ordering parts now. Mainly wondering about tyre clearance. It'll have 19mm internal width rims, any ideas of whether 28s would squeeze in there? Ta!

  • Thanks both! yeah think 28c is the max, looking for some nobbly bobbly clincher tyres now that will give me a bit more peace of mind on slight gravel, this kind of thing
