In his 3 seasons as Middlesbrough manager, they finished
12th,
13th (including an 8-1 win against Man City, and
Relegated in final season, he did however win a manager of the month trophy in his final season!

I’d say as a whole Southgate has massively over performed with England. The problem with the English press and a chunk of the fan base is that they’re completely delusional.
Can’t see him as a club coach though. He seems like a relatively nice person, you could say too nice in such a cutthroat environment.
