You see that's what pisses me off about the Park stand: it's built from repurposed/generic parts and has a crude, garden shed feel to it.
Which is fine, unless you're paying the Park premium.
Do you mean the blue ones that fold up? We have a couple ES 1 or 2s, the share a base with the Race workstand I think and yeah, they are pretty pish. Legs are all loose, plastic knobs have cracked and broken. Definitely not worth the money.

Are the workstands that you can get from Lidl still regarded as decent? Seem to remember them being forum approved a few years ago...

I kept one outside permanently for 10years + and used it regularly. No problems. The only thing was the blue rubber bits falling off pretty quickly but didn’t make any real difference. I’d buy another. They’re not the most stable but for the price they’re good and hold a road bike with no problems.

I have that exact Spin Doctor stand, it’s great.

Thread dredge but looking for up to date info. Looking for a decent portable stand for bike doctor / home use. If the standard Lidl one is still good then great, but willing to spend a little more (less that £100) if it’s going to be worth the added cost. Cheers!

This one or anything that is the same but branded differently, Raleigh used to do them as did a few other people, probs some on Amazon or whatever too.

Awesome, looks good. Reckon better than this for about the same price?

If this is the same, £57 with the discount if anyone else is looking

It's at least very similar.

I've got one of those Bike hand ones, but Lifeline branded. It's good but gets a bit bendy if you need to put weight behind something. Also, do not wash a bike on it, the dirt gets into the sliding bits and scratches the crap out of them. Mines now relegated to bike washing duty only since I got a Feedback Sports one instead

I'll concede that it seems over-engineered and should stand up to heavy use though.
