This makes me more nervous than seeing parents with kids sat on unrated rear racks. E-scooters and physics do not go well in the physics in my brain. It has to be impossible to stop in any way quickly. Your COG would go over the front wheel much more easily/quickly than on a bike. And then your kid is the crumple zone.

Shit that sucks. This is why I've never had the courage to do the nursery run because you have to go on proper roads the whole way.
School on the other hand has footpaths most of the way.
Could you have an electric scooter with them standing at the front? Faster and easier than walking and provided you're not being a dick I doubt you'd have issues on the pavement.
