I want to stay full 105 even the qr. I will probably find some in my qr box and drill them
@damskodonny if I remember right the big chainring share the same 2 part construction as Ultegra and dura ace. Not too confident about drilling holes through it.
Sorry for the pics quality. My phone is dying.
So rear mech. From 105 5700
A lot of work for 15g but its fun.
Some holes, nylon lower limit screw, alloy high limit screw and alloy cable bolt
The levers are rebuilt and on the bike. Still missing the left hood cover
Some bottle cages that was lying around there. with 1 alloy bolt and 1 nylon screws
Then a 5800 crankset roughly sanded and a pair of "silver edition" 105 chainrings. A 105 chain from the trashcan and a double punctured zipps wheelset that I haven't used it in a year. AND 6.31kg as pictured
Still missing cables (got some ilink stuff), left frame shifter (someone?), bartape (velox tressorex), headset cap and 5800 pedals. I hope I can squeeze it all under 6.8kg

Where can I save some weight?
-Need a shorter stem and I have probably lighter options
-I have put some cheap steal shimano quick release on the wheels. real 105 should be lighter
-Alloy bolts for the chainring
-Drilling smal schainring (probably 2hours for 5g)
-Maybe lighter seatpost
-Cheating with track tubulars
