We have way too many bikes, we built this commuter about a year ago so we had a bike with a child seat and something that we weren't too precious about in terms of locking up in the city etc.
The basis was a Temple adventure disc Mk2 frameset 55cm in Lunar Sand colour. This is the latest version with through axles, flat mount brakes and swappable rear dropout inserts that can be changed for track style ones for single speed or IGH. We also bought the Temple seat post with the frame kit.
The rest of the build was some parts bin stuff, Sram Rival cranks and rear derailleur, Sram 1x chainring, Hope Pro2 hubs onto H Plus Son Archetypes, Avid brake rotors.
Everything else for the build was bought new. DMR V6 pedals, Teravail Rampart light and supple tyres, Sram Chain and cassette, On One Mollymawk 'bars, Vans/Cult waffle grips, Sram X2 shifter, Shimano MT200 brake levers and some older non-series flat mount callipers. We also fitted some kinesis Fend off wide mudguards and I made a fillet brazed flat bed rack for the front of the bike that is still unfiled and unpainted which will be included in the sale.
The bike is currently fitted with a Fabric Scoop saddle which we would like to keep, so we can sell sans saddle or fit something else for the buyer.
It is a great bike, but now our little one isn't so little, she is too heavy for the child seat and we find ourselves using our Bullitt Cargo bike to do all the runs that the Temple used to.
Couple of bad bits about the Temple, the top tube has a couple of scuffs where shoes have rubbed it, we couldn't sling our leg over the saddle with little one in her seat without giving her a Chuck Norris style roundhouse kick to the face so we had to go over the top tube, I'm flexible enough to do that, but my husband isn't. The Temple logos on the seat tube are scuffed up from the child seat bracket, though these are £4 to replace and the front hub has had some machining done to the disc mount (it was fitted to a custom bike where the framebuilder had brazed the front disc tab too far inboard, so the mounting face on the hub had to be machined down to get the calliper to line up with the disc although there is plenty of adjustment on this bike and everything lines up fine) This has been like this for 10 or more years and hasn't been an issue, I'm just trying to be 100% honest.
I'm not sure where to price this, as the Frame kit was £900 when we bought it before we built it, hopefully £850 for the full build is a decent starting place? Please let us know if we are way out here.
We just have one picture at the moment, but I'm happy to get any more if anyone is interested.
The bike is based in Norwich, but we are happy to box and send or perhaps drive to deliver for a little bit of fuel money.
