Yeah, the suspension situation is absurd really... And wasteful.
I bought about 100 of the 20” suspension forks direct from Spinner (exactly the same spec as supplied from UA) as they never had fuckin stock and would refuse to sell us more than 1 or 2 every 6 months. Before tax, shipping and import fees they were like £30 each 😂. (Maybe double that after all the fees) And they kinda do the job for about a year or 2.
I think a better alternative would need heavy investment and cost significantly more money. So that’s why the lack of really any significant designs optimised for cargo (low maintenance!!!).

I don’t think the stock suspension is any shitter than what’s on other cargo bikes, it’s just not really built for how it’s used - ie getting hammered with 0 maintenance.
The suspension they introduced in limited numbers on their anniversary model looked promising, but apparently they can’t produce it in large quantities atm…
