Polaris have their waterproof socks on sale
Mine arrived today, and although L, don't seem big enough for my 10.5's. Interested to hear what others think.
Looking at the box it says L = EU 43-45 or UK 10-12 ... Well there is something wrong there, as 43=9 and 45=10.5 !?
-
• #7729
You are all doing it wrong, sandals no socks is the way :-)
-
• #7730
I wear the L, fit fine in my Trailcross shoes (I've used both EU 44 and 45 shoes).

They should be great in the winter standing around bird watching as well.
They do come up small as well . -

One of the few life sized celebrity cardboard cutouts that fit into a standard business envelope.

LOL!
-
• #7734
Yep, on the site, it says "Please be aware that this item sizes slightly small, if unsure we advise to go up a size."
Mine arrived today. Definitely on the snug side. Bought 3 pairs, so I hope they relax a little, LOL.

Yeh just tried mine and they are snug as I'm an 11, previous ones didn't fit that tight
Sad face

Maybe one for the helmets thread, but it's a bargain so here too.
Bell have heavily reduced some of their helmets, including this one (£18.99 down from £75, with MIPS ain't bad): https://bellbikehelmets.co.uk/products/bell-avenue-mips-road-helmet which just arrived for me. Nicer than the Carnac thing it's replacing.
Some other bargains if you browse their site too.

340 gsm for S/M is a bit porky vs Carnac PodiumSL @ 230 for S

This one is pretty flash but looks like good value... not sure I can detach the value from the schoolboy immaturity of a helmet with "BELL" on it

I got mocked at work for my TT helmet that said Bell on it, after that Bell is now a no-no for me.

Planet X doing some decent frame/fork combo deals today - cool steel Huntsman with very acceptable Rockshox fork for 300 ish (code PXFRAME100). Secondhand is probs still a better deal for most folks what with all the deals out there but not a bad deal for a modern steel hardtail if you've got a bunch of parts stashed away.

Evans have Microshift sword shifters/levers and rear mech on sale, in a weird move given how little stock there seems to be of them.
£129 for all of it seems a pretty decent price.

This one's a bit left field, but just in case anyone needs these (increasingly hard to find) parts, Bankrupt Bike Parts has "Sachs Torpedo SRAM 3 Speed Internal Hub Brake Repair Kit Parts - 00 0591 111 008" for £28.99. I just grabbed one in case it comes in handy one day for one of my older Bromptons.

Not a looker with a goofy fork but carbon disc frame, dura ace hydro with carbon wheels and bars/post £1850 and Summer 10 discount code looks like it should work for an extra 10% off that. -

Not a looker with a goofy fork…
Christ, you weren’t kidding eh?!

Double seatclamp as standard?! Weird setup but almost worth it for parts
If you still enjoy gluing on tyres and can fit 30mm ones, seems a good deal for some top quality tyres, apparently they're made by FMB

I imagine the ride quality on these to be divine.
