Sorry I'm in dirty South London. We still have places setting a minimum charge for card transactions or the shop passing the cost onto the customer (I'm not even sure if that's legal?)

Aren't they basically the same thing as far as the card machine is concerned?
As in, they're all classed as card payments and incur the same costs
