It did the Dirty Winza ride last weekend but didn't like all the bits from Richmond Park up to Swinley forest, the course was all on very narrow paths that loads of families use for a walk and you have to slow down to a crawl constantly to get past, makes you feel like a proper twat cycling there.
The area around Swinley forest on the other hand is AMAZING! Would totally recommend just heading straight there and enjoy that area. Some parts look like a Far Cry map.
Some of the route is through a MOD high speed testing area incl. danger to life, so an exciting ride is guaranteed.
The loop back around Windsor and Slough is OK, I didn't bother going back to Richmond but
switched to the Union Canal towards Paddington and then home. 180km in total but slow going
especially the first 90km.
I'm glad I just read this. I was planning on doing the Dirty Winza at some point in the next few weeks but you've confirmed some reservations I had haha.
I've got a nice loop that goes from Woking station out through Swinley etc if you're interested?
