Oi, anyone selling a 49 by any chance?
-
• #3253
Too many bikes yet not enough juice in the knees for fixed. Any interest in decked out 56cm?

Lilac cross check, red headset, bosco bars and a basket spotted at a service station on the M5 a minute ago.
I know it's on here but can't remember who!
Great looking bike!

I'd say don't sell. Surly apparently discontinued the Steamroller so no new ones coming out!

I was eyeing up the hell out of your bike.
Really nice colour!

Anyone got a Steamroller they're looking to move on? Ideally a 56, maybe 58ish (I'm 6ft).

Anyone got brake recommendations for cx'ing the steamroller?
Had high hopes with paul racer but a) shit cable routing front&back on a 49cm frame even after trying several cablehangers and b) performance same as shimano dualpivots before, maybe due to a). Not worth the money.
Do i have any other chance except adding disctabs? Im already running fixed but would like to avoid adding another rarely used bike just for SSCX

Posts for canti/vee would seem to make more sense than discs, especially on the rear.
Looking at your photo, I wonder if a Kona dog collar might be a good solution?

In my boone the routing was also ā¦ and very flexy rear brake, so in the end i installed the trp cx9, perfect, a bit more on/off but for loose stuff and mud it is perfect.
Boone was stolen, but would buy this combination again -

As M_V said, Canti studs seem easier than discs, and you can keep the same wheelset... Here's mine with a rear canti - gives me wider tyre clearance than a calliper, and more mud clearance...

Really classy build!

Thanks, currently in its less attractive SS winter-commuter-mudguard mode, but feels best with 38c knobblies and fixed

Hey!

Should I be looking at a 59cm or 62cm?
-
• #3275
Shorter reach on the 59cm seems about right.
Drop me a line if you're selling
:( whats the plan for the paint job?
